SALRET - SECUline

What is SALRET? — SALRET is an automated error notification file sent by the Joint Social Security Centre (CCSS) through the SECUline system when wage records submitted via DECSAL cannot be processed. This file returns the original wage declarations with added rejection codes that identify specific errors requiring correction before the payroll data can be accepted.

When is the SALRET file generated? — The CCSS automatically generates and transmits a SALRET file whenever at least one wage record from a DECSAL submission contains errors preventing proper processing. Employers receive this file through their SECUline interface, allowing them to identify and correct issues promptly.

What information does SALRET contain? — The SALRET file includes all the wage record data originally transmitted in the DECSAL file, with the critical addition of a rejection code (field 2) that specifies the nature of each error. The file maintains the same structure as DECSAL submissions to facilitate comparison and correction.

The file naming convention follows the structure SALRET.xxxx_yyyy_zzzz.dta, where xxxx represents the employer registration number, yyyy indicates the SECUline number, and zzzz denotes the timestamp.
