What is paternity leave? — Paternity leave in Luxembourg is a legally mandated period of absence from work granted to fathers following the birth of their child. It allows fathers to spend time with their newborns and support the mother during the postnatal period.

The request should specify the intended dates of the leave. If there is no mutual agreement on the scheduling, the leave must be taken immediately following the birth.
