Directly from CCSS (contribution rates and ceilings), STATEC (consumer price index and SSM), AAA (accident bonus-malus), and ITM circulars (labour-time and internship rules). Every figure on this page can be traced back to an official publication.
When are these values updated?
Indexation events trigger irregularly when consumer prices rise enough - typically once every 12 to 24 months. Contribution rate changes take effect on 1 January of the year they're voted. Salary.lu refreshes its tables within 24 hours of any official publication.
How are these social parameters set in Luxembourg?
The social minimum wage is fixed by law and adjusted automatically when the consumer price index crosses a 2.5% threshold (the "index"). Contribution rates are set by CCSS and the supervising ministries, and revised when needed by parliament. Internship and student wage rules are defined in the labour code and ITM circulars.
